What we are
An engineering company that develops its own technology and builds for other people with the same staff. The four systems on this site were research problems here before they were products, and the teams did not change in between.
How it grew
We started as a software practice and moved down the stack rather than up it. Hardware and system design came in because the diagnostic work needed them, not because somebody spotted a market. That sequence explains the shape of the company: deeper than its size would suggest, and organised around problems rather than around technologies.
Why the hardware matters
Because the compute budget is a design decision. Building the instrument alongside the model is what let the aligner pipeline be designed without an accelerator, instead of discovering afterwards that it needed one. It is also why the diagnostic systems can run inside a hospital rather than only in a cloud region.
